Prof. H. Mapoma – Team Leader
Prof. H. Mapoma serves as the Team Leader for the SAVE project at MUBAS, providing strategic direction and overall leadership. His role involves coordinating efforts across various components to ensure alignment with the project’s goals of increasing access, market relevance, and equity in skills training. Prof. Mapoma oversees the implementation plan, monitors progress, and fosters collaboration among stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes for Malawi’s human capital development.
Mr. A. Kalembo – Finance Specialist
As the Finance Specialist, Mr. A. Kalembo manages the financial resources of the SAVE project at MUBAS, ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient use of funds. He is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with both World Bank and government guidelines. His expertise ensures that every dollar contributes to achieving the project’s objectives, from expanding student financial aid to supporting infrastructure development.
Mr. M. Duwa – Procurement Specialist
Mr. M. Duwa oversees all procurement activities for the SAVE project, ensuring timely acquisition of goods, works, and services necessary for the project’s success. His responsibilities include managing procurement processes in line with World Bank and government regulations, ensuring value for money, and supporting the construction of facilities and acquisition of essential resources for technical and vocational education.
Mrs. Y. Chilinde – Secretariat
Serving as the Secretariat for the SAVE project, Mrs. Y. Chilinde provides critical administrative support to the team. Her role involves coordinating meetings, managing communications, and maintaining project documentation. Mrs. Chilinde’s organizational skills ensure smooth project operations and effective collaboration among stakeholders.
Mr. F. Ngwira – Construction Specialist
Mr. F. Ngwira plays a pivotal role as the Construction Specialist, overseeing the design and development of physical infrastructure under the SAVE project. This includes the construction of classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities essential for skills training programs. He ensures that the infrastructure meets quality standards, is delivered on time, and aligns with the project’s goals of enhancing access and market relevance.
