PhD Position - Call for applications (Inspire Project)

Academic   Inspire Project   November 2, 2023

We have an opportunity for two Ph.D. positions in the area of knowledge synthesis using Natural Language Processing and LLMs with applications to health data. Recent advances in computational approaches in artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP), such as named entity recognition and text summarisation powered by large language models (LLMs, such as BERT or GPT-4), have substantially improved the efficiency and accuracy of information extraction at a massive scale. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute and build upon existing work on intelligent cataloguing and extraction of news and journal articles on specific topics, developing datasets and algorithms for information extraction and summarisation.
