2017-18 First Year Diploma Selection

The Malawi Polytechnic would like to inform the general public that the following have been selected to start various diploma programs with the University of Malawi at The Polytechnic in Blantyre. The programs are run during the weekend only.

Opening Date

The selected candidates are advised that the opening date for the first academic year is Saturday, 3rd February 2018.

Registration and Orientation

Students are expected to register within the first two (2) weeks of the semester and only those who pay fees will be registered. Students are advised that the College policy is “NO FEES, NO REGISTRATION” and therefore should be adhered to strictly. 

Orientation will take place on 4th February 2018 from 9:00 am in the Main Lecture Theatre

Payment of Fees

Tuition fee is K400, 000.00 per year. This should be paid in full at the beginning of the academic year or in two (2) equal installments at the beginning of each semester.

Fees should be through the bank into the following account and no student should bring cash or cheque direct to the College:

Students are required to present proof of payment in form of deposit slip to the College.

Please include student name, program/course of study on the deposit slip and present it to the Cashier on arrival, and a receipt will be issued.  Fees can be paid before the opening date to avoid inconveniences.  

Students pay for all other expenses including identity cards, accommodation, upkeep and stationery.
