The Head of ODeL shall be under the immediate supervision of the DVC. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Head of the ODeL SHALL . 

1.  Coordinate the development, review, monitoring and implementation of open distance and e-learning policies, plans,strategies, systems and programmes     including  budgets 
2.  Coordinate the development and dessimination of study materials on academic ODeL programmes. 
3.  Publish and dessiminate any material of relevance to the general conduct of Open, Distance and e-laerning programmes. 
4.  Monitor and enforce implementation of open distance and e-learnung standards. 
5.  Market and mobilise resources for open disatnce and e-laerning studies. 
6.  Organise and conduct open disatnce and e-laernung tracer studies. 
7.  Establish and mantain internal and external linkages for the development and effective implementation of ODel programmes 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

1. Minimum of doctorate degree in arelevant field from an institution accreditaed and recognised under the National Council of Hihger Education Act 
2. Three 3 years of experience in management position in a higher eduaction institution 
3. Be in a currency of ODeL 

 TENURE OF THE OFFICE 

 The succesful candiadtes shall be offere a 3 yaer perfoamnce-based contract which may be renewed once.
