The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences, Faculty of Applied Sciences is inviting applications for enrolment into the;
Master of Science in Sanitation
The MSc Sanitation is part of the Global Sanitation under the auspices of the Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) – IHE-Delft in The Netherlands with support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The programme is jointly implemented by the Department of Physics and Biochemical Sciences and Department of Environmental Health.
The programme comprises a one-year taught course work split into two semesters, and a research component in second year. The candidates will do research in the areas within the field of sanitation.
Admission requirements:
The entry requirement for the programme is at least a Credit in any Applied Science or equivalent undergraduate degree. Candidates with a pass must have 2 years of work-related experience. The programme has three exits: postgraduate University Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and MSc depending on completion of modules and dissertation.
Fees structure;
Fees for the programme shall be $6500 for domicile and SADC students payable in two installments. International students from countries outside the SADC region shall pay $7500. Fees are subject to change from time to time. The fees cover tuition and research supervision. Research fees for students who want to conduct their research using College laboratory will depend on the type of research.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR MASTERS.
A complete master’s Programme application MUST INCLUDE:
- A completed application form;
- A latest CV;
- Two (2) reference letters (1 from an academic referee and 1 from a professional referee);
- Certified/ fresh Academic Transcript(s);
- Certified copies of original certificates by a commissioner of oath or Lawyers or the Central Office (University Office where the candidate graduated from);
- A non-refundable application fee of MK10,000 for Malawian applicants and US$25.00 for international applicants;
