Incubation Centre Technician
The Technician is responsible for operations and maintenance of both Incubation Centre space and its various equipment and inventory while also providing support to the Business Incubation Centre Manager.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Technician shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities:
• Set up demonstrations and laboratory sessions
• Support students in working with various pieces of equipment in the Centre labs
• Maintain equipment, tools and components
• Facilitate publicity of the Centre’s activities
• Supervise users’ safety and behavior within the Centre
• Support/train users interested in various equipment and software (Coding, Adobe Suite)
• Support incubates in the production of proto-types
• Keep the Centre clean and secure all times
Qualifications and Experience:
• Diploma in Electrical and Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent interpersonal communication
• Interested in innovation activities and experience in youth engagement initiatives
• Experience with Electronics design software packages and proto-typing, PCB fabrication and 3D printing will be added advantages.
