Admission Criteria Requirements
The selection of applicants is based upon consideration of individual academic achievement. In the case of mature entry candidates, work experience is needed.
Normal Entry
A candidate with a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE English, Mathematics, Physical Science/General Science; or A-level with a grade of at least C in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry can be admitted into the programme at year one.
Mature Entry
Entry into Year 2:
- City and Guilds Advanced Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering with at least 4 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two years post qualification experience.
- Board of Governors Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering with at least 6 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two years post qualification experience.
Entry into Year 3:
- University Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 6 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two years post qualification.
