APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR PhD APPLICANTS

A complete PhD application package MUST INCLUDE

  1. Proof of payment of the application fee (A non-refundable application fee of MK30,000 for Malawian applicants and US$60.00 for international applicants).
  2. Completed PG programmes application form.
  3. Certified copy of academic transcript/ academic record.
  4. Certified copies of relevant certificates.
  5. A sample of the applicant’s written academic work (journal papers, books, conference papers, conference reports, etc).
  6. Abstract of master’s degree research study.
  7. A concept note relating to the proposed research of not more than five (5) pages (topic, introduction, problem statement, research objective, preliminary literature review, methodology, and references).
  8. Reference letters from two (2) traceable referees (one academic and one professional).
  9. Recent curriculum vitae.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR MPhil APPLICANTS

A complete MPhil application package MUST INCLUDE

  1. Proof of payment of the application fee (A non-refundable application fee of MK30,000 for Malawian applicants and US$60.00 for international applicants).
  2. Completed PG programmes application form.
  3. Certified copy of academic transcript/ academic record.
  4. Certified copies of relevant certificates.
  5. A concept note relating to the proposed research of not more than five (5) pages (topic, introduction, problem statement, research objective, preliminary literature review, methodology, and references).
  6. Reference letters from two (2) traceable referees (at least one academic).
  7. Recent curriculum vitae.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR MASTER’S DEGREE OR POSTGRADUATE CERTIFICATE APPLICANTS

A complete Master’s programme application package MUST INCLUDE

  1. Proof of payment of the application fee (A non-refundable application fee of MK20,000.00 for Malawian applicants and US$60.00 for international applicants).
  2. Completed PG programmes application form.
  3. Certified copy of academic transcript/ academic record.
  4. Certified copies of relevant certificates.
  5. Reference letters from two (2) traceable referees (at least one academic).
  6. Recent curriculum vitae.
